The Role

As a key member of a caring, compassionate and committed team, you will help to provide high quality support to our residents. You will be a valued member of an experienced multidisciplinary team involved in the day to day running of the service. As a support worker at Northern Healthcare:

  • You are an advocate for mental health recovery
  • You ensure the support provided is of the highest quality
  • You implement best practice
  • You may be a ‘Key Worker’ for an individual resident
  • You may dispense medication or support residents with medication compliance
  • You will help in the development of support plans and ensure these are followed
  • You will support with basic life skills such as encouraging residents to maintain a healthy lifestyle
  • You are a key member of our residents’ support network and you will work with families, health and social care professionals and other individuals to ensure the best outcomes for an individual we support
  • You help our resident to lead happy and fulfilling lives. For example, you could be taking people shopping, cinema, bowling, swimming or spending days on trips out and many more activities.

A positive attitude, friendly, caring & understanding nature are an absolute must. Ideally, you will have some experience or have gained your level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, however, we also recruit team members with no experience as long as you show your passion and dedication to the role.
