Our supported living services are full of activities with a busy calendar of group cooking classes, exercise, health and nutrition workshops, 1-2-1 time and occupational therapy to suit everyone’s needs and help our residents to reach their recovery goals.
Following on from the success of their Halloween recipe board, Merchants House have created a Bonfire Night recipe board and residents enjoyed hearty home cooked pie and peas to celebrate Bonfire Night evening! 🎆
The staff at Merchants House have worked really hard to create a fun environment for our residents over Halloween. They have lots of fun activities planned, including pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving competitions, and spooky movie nights! 🎃👻
Merchants House held a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan. They put on a delicious spread (sweet tooth heaven!) and raised over £65 for Macmillan!
Every Friday at Merchants House our residents take a trip down memory lane with a new group activity – Retro Mania! One resident comments, “It’s like stepping into a time machine.” Another resident enjoys reminiscing about playing the games when he was younger & enjoys humming the theme tunes to the iconic games. As well as a fun activity for friendly competition, some residents have observed improvements in their hand-eye coordination!
🎃 Our residents have been getting into the spooky spirit ahead of their Halloween celebrations this Saturday. The Merchants House team have transformed their service into a haunted house! 🎃
You may remember, earlier this year we shared an amazing achievement for one of our residents from Merchants House who passed his CBT. Well, he didn’t stop there, after working hard to save his money – Christmas came a little early
John OTA comments: “We couldn’t be prouder of our resident for overcoming the challenges that 2020 has brought and working so hard to achieve his CBT and save for his first moped!”
It might be lockdown, but the team and residents at Merchants House enjoyed a fun day in their garden with prizes to be won by all!
