Montgomery House are becoming well known for the wonderful causes the team and residents champion! Whether they are running in Race for Life, baking for Macmillan Coffee morning, making Christmas gift boxes for the homeless or hosting an evening of entertainment in aid of Children in Need; Montgomery House always support the causes close to their hearts.

On the 7 March 2020, one of our residents from Montgomery House chose to support another cause that means so much to many people – The Little Princess Trust.

The Little Princess Trust provide free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

The team and residents at Montgomery asked friends and family to help raise funds for the charity. A team member acted as hairdresser and our resident braved the chop to donate 12 inches of her hair!

Lois Wild, Service Manager said: “My team and residents are always coming up with new and innovative ways to give back! When I heard that one of our residents had decided to do this for such a wonderful cause I was delighted. The team and our residents supported her. She has truly made us all so proud.”
