Northern Healthcare is proud to share that we have been named a finalist in the Complex Care Provider of the Year – Homecare or Supported Living category at the HealthInvestor Awards 2026.

For our organisation, this recognition is something to celebrate. It reflects a year in which Northern Healthcare continued to strengthen the quality of our services while supporting people with complex mental health needs to live more independently in their communities. Being named among the finalists is a moment for us to acknowledge the collective effort behind that progress.

Recognition built on the work of our teams

At the centre of this achievement are the people who make Northern Healthcare what it is: the colleagues who support individuals every day, the clinical and quality specialists who guide good practice, and the operational leaders who ensure services remain safe, consistent and responsive.

Supported living for people with complex mental health needs requires patience, skill, and persistence. The progress that takes place across our services often happens in small but significant steps; building confidence, strengthening routines, or preparing someone for the next stage of independence.

This nomination recognises the dedication behind that work. It also reflects the resilience and determination of the people we support, whose journeys towards recovery and independence inspire our teams every day.

A year that shaped our future

The past year has been a defining one for Northern Healthcare. Across our organisation we continued to strengthen the structures that underpin high-quality support, from clinical leadership and governance to service development and outcomes measurement.

At the same time, we expanded our services and worked closely with commissioners and partners to design provision that responds to local need. The growth of our pathway-based approach has helped ensure that people can access the right level of support at the right stage of their recovery journey, whether that means structured supported living, step-down provision, or outreach support in the community.

These developments share a common aim of enabling people with complex mental health needs to move forward with greater stability and opportunity.

Celebrating together

Being shortlisted for the HealthInvestor Awards is an honour in itself, and we are looking forward to attending the awards ceremony with colleagues and partners from across the sector. Events like this provide a valuable chance to celebrate the work happening across health and social care, particularly at a time when organisations everywhere are working hard to support people with increasingly complex needs.

For Northern Healthcare, the evening will be about celebrating the people behind the progress and the individuals whose achievements remind us why this work matters.

Looking ahead

Recognition such as this reinforces the direction Northern Healthcare continues to take; strengthening quality, deepening clinical expertise, and working collaboratively with partners to create supported living services that balance care with independence.

As we look ahead, our focus remains on supporting people to live well in their communities and continuing to build services that help make that possible. We look forward to celebrating with fellow finalists at the HealthInvestor Awards and recognising the contributions of colleagues across the sector who are shaping the future of care.
