Staff and residents at both Mary Seacole House, Westhoughton and Glen Garth House, Barrow-In-Furness are full steam ahead for Children in Need 2017. On go the Pudsey onesies and ears and a number of fundraising acts. It’s all part of a competition between each of our units to see who can raise the most money.

This year brings the coffee and cake morning at Mary Seacole House on the morning of Tuesday the 14th November and a carboot sale on Sunday the 19th of November.

The carboot opens at 6AM for traders and is only £10 per car, any shape or size which will all be donated. Glen Garth House are holding a fancy dress family fun day, with performers, best dressed award for the best costume, games, tombola and raffle at the Newton Arms, Dalton-In-Furness with tickets available at only £3 per person.

Our residents and staff are also taking part in other sponsored activities such as a sponsored swim and walk, although they will let the cake digest first!

So whether you are #teamglengarth or #teammaryseacole come down and raise some money for a fantastic cause!
