One of Northern Healthcare’s Manchester based supported living schemes has been nominated for three awards in the LABC North West Building Excellence Awards 2019.
What is now known as the vibrant Montgomery House in Radcliffe, was once a commercial office building. Northern Healthcare purchased the site in 2018 with a view to converting the building to provide much needed supported living accommodation for individuals with a mental illness or learning disability.
Located in the heart of Radcliffe, Montgomery House is perfectly placed for accessibility to the local amenities and for residents to be an integrated part of the community. Developing the service has had significant benefit to the local area providing not only much needed employment, but also repurposing and developing a disused property to meet the increasing demand for enhanced supported housing.
Avant builders who have worked in partnership on other properties in conjunction with Northern Healthcare, completed the build and have been commended for the transformational work they have done on the building. The nominations span three categories including:

The awards ceremony will take place at Emirates, Old Trafford in April and will be an opportunity to celebrate outstanding building and design projects from across the North West which have led to safe, sustainable and high-quality construction.

Montgomery House is one of many national enhanced supported living schemes run by Northern Healthcare. With a focus on providing high quality environments coupled with clinically led, enhanced support, the Northern Healthcare model is already demonstrating measurable improvement to individual quality of life.
