About The Great British Care Awards
The Great British Care Awards celebrates excellence across the care sector with twenty-five award categories.
The awards pay tribute to organisations and individuals who demonstrate outstanding excellence in their field of work.
Just to recap:
- Our supported living service, Milnshaw House in Accrington, was shortlisted for the Care Team Award – this was awarded to a team who have an excellent communication process and can demonstrate a commitment to dignity and privacy for the people they support.
- Our supported living service, Hyde Park House in Wakefield was shortlisted for the Putting People First Award which recognises a team who have “embraced the ‘Putting People First’/Personalisation agenda and can demonstrate an innovative approach to empowering people to have more control over the support they need in their lives.”
- Daniel Colquhoun, Team Leader at our supported living service Kirk House in Carlisle, was shortlisted for the Care Newcomer Award which honours and celebrates a new member of staff and their impact on their organisation.
- Debra Wadsworth, Occupational Therapy Support Worker at our supported living service Montgomery House in Radcliffe, was shortlisted for the Care Home Activity Organiser Award; this award honours an individual who has “demonstrated the ability to provide a ‘needs-led,’ varied, and engaging programme tailored to care home residents.”
The ceremony and results…
Team members from across the organisation joined together to attend the regional awards ceremony in Manchester and celebrate the work our incredible teams do every single day.
Unfortunately, we didn’t win this year but we are so PROUD of those nominated and had a wonderful time honouring their success.
We want to wish a huge congratulations to all the winners, and runners-up this year.
